Default Open up the catacombs again!

Little info:
Catacombs was the huge underground maze in pre searing, the place had a very nice feel and a nice design to it.

The Catacombs were a big underground maze that linked parts of pre searing together, undead could be found there.

I really loved the catacombs, and I remember it was the first place I looked for after the searing took place
Sadly after the searing you could not visit the catacombs no more, apparently buried.

I felt sad and wondered what madness was brewing down in the underground passages, and where some of those hidden passages may of lead to.

Let’s discuss ideas or possible ways to implement the catacombs into guild wars again.

BRAINSTORM.

Catacombs leads to a forgotten realm or hidden city, maybe a possibility for an upcoming chapter that’s based underground.

Connects to other continents or entrances to realms such as fow

Would catacombs make a good elite area, or just an area that links other places together and acts as a good staging ground for developing lore?

Possible ideas and your Thoughts about seeing the catacombs again are appreciated.

More to be added soon.

I think this actually is a great idea. If they made the catacombs an Elite area, it would bring more attention back to prophecies, force highlevel charcters to mingle with the little nooblets. . . It really would be a good idea for ArenaNet, plus it gives the developers a story for adding another continent or realm.

I really loved the catacombs, though hard but still a cool place. I don't think anything super duper ultra super sonic cool has to be in it. But yeah....

/signed, but they should make more parts of the game available for everyone, and not make it so linear. For instance, as much as I thought the jungle was cool, there is no point for me to go there.

I remember this one huge chamber that opened up into a bunch of little pockets and a pond and all. It was really, really pretty. Otherwise, I hated that place >.<

But it would be intriguing to explore 0.o after the searing.

I loved the catacombs. make 1337 make it normal but bring them back.
I would like to see it higher lvl, bring in some new creatures, esp undead. Maybe vampires and such as they weren't much touched in the other games.
If you went low enough you could find a tunnel to remants of Orr.

Yeah Vampires could work, a hidden coloney of vampires or something.
Another thing I havent seen much of in guild wars is graveyards.
Maybe catacombs could be some sort of burial grounds.

Interesting idea, but unfortunately it's never going to happen. It has already been stated that Anet will not be expanding the older chapters.

Have you even been into some of the deeper chambers? There is one that's walls are almost MADE of coffins. It freaked me out a little when I noticed it the first time.

[QUOTE=Curse You]Interesting idea, but unfortunately it's never going to happen. It has already been stated that Anet will not be expanding the older chapters.

Anet have expanded past chapters from what I've seen.

They added new greens to Prophecies and they explained tied up lose ends in nighfall regarding story plot.
They added fow armour for the new proffesions.
They added 2 obtainable heros one for tryia and one for canatha.
The list goes on.
So it seems they are expanding on past continent.

I know its highly unlikely that its going to happen, but with anything if enough hype gets behind it then there’s always a possibility

It would be wise to add content that might influence or add content to past chapters which would be included in newer chapters as features.

If anything it could be just a entrance to another world.

They didn't "close" it, he's saying he wants it to be present post-searing as well.
